Get a receipt for a recent purchase

What is on a Bitcoin4U receipt

Each receipt is a plain email covering one transaction, and it carries everything you need for your own records or your accountant:

• The receipt number and the date and time of the transaction, in Toronto local time.
• The amount in Canadian dollars, and any additional fee, shown separately.
• The amount of cryptocurrency, to eight decimal places, and the rate you paid per coin.
• The wallet address the coins were sent to, and the blockchain transaction ID.
• A purchase whose coins are still on their way out has no receipt here yet - the receipt for it follows when it sends, so it is not among these and is not missing.

Which transactions are covered

The last 5 transactions on your number, whichever way you bought or sold: cash at one of our Bitcoin ATMs, or online by Interac e-Transfer, debit or credit card, bank wire transfer or Flexepin voucher - and e-Transfer sales as well as purchases. Cash-out at a machine is the one thing not covered: an ATM sale does not produce a receipt to re-send. They arrive newest first. If you need more than that, or a receipt from further back, email us at [email protected] and we will send them.

If we do not have your email address

ATM signups do not always leave us with a verified email address. When we have no address for you, we text the number you entered to say so. Add an address at bitcoin4u.ca/register, and once it is on your account you can request your receipts here again. Nothing is sent anywhere except an address on your own account, or - for a bank wire - the address you gave us on that wire request. Your transaction history is never mailed to a number that is not on it. How we hold and use that data is set out in our privacy policy.

If someone has contacted you claiming to be from Bitcoin4U, read common crypto scams first: we do not make phone calls, and we never ask you to send crypto back. Not registered yet?
