There is nothing to log in to at Bitcoin4U. Your cellphone number is your account, and everything below works by confirming a code we text to it.

Our ATMs do not print receipts: every receipt is emailed to the address on your account. Enter your number, confirm the texted code and we email the receipts for your last 5 transactions, at our ATMs and online. No email address on file? The page asks for one.

A spreadsheet of every transaction on your number - cash purchases at our ATMs, online purchases and online sales - emailed to the address on your account once you confirm the texted code. Useful for your own records and for your taxes.

Change my email address on file

Confirm a code texted to your cellphone, then a code emailed to your new address, and the new address replaces the old one on your online and ATM accounts. We let the old address know it was changed. It cannot be changed while a sale is in progress.

Why there is no login

Most exchanges give you a username and a password and keep your money in an account behind them. Bitcoin4U does neither, so there is no password for you to remember, reuse or have stolen. Instead, each of the pages above asks for a one-time code that we text to the cellphone number on your account, and changing your email address also needs a second code, emailed to the new address. The codes on these pages work for 10 minutes. We will never ask you for a code by phone or by email, so never share one with anyone.

We never hold your cryptocurrency

Bitcoin4U is a non-custodial exchange. When you buy, we send the cryptocurrency straight to the wallet address you give us: a wallet you control, or an exchange account in your own name. When you sell Bitcoin online, we pay you by Interac e-Transfer. We never keep a balance for you, so there is no account balance to check, no funds to withdraw and nothing for anyone to take by getting into an account. Your wallet and its keys are yours alone: Bitcoin4U will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys. Our guide to non-custodial wallets explains how to keep them safe.

Your cellphone number is your account

Use the same cellphone number every time you buy or sell online or buy at one of our Bitcoin ATMs, so your transactions, receipts and limits stay together. If you get a new number, or lose access to the old one, email us at [email protected] from the address on your account and we will help: a number cannot be changed on these pages.
